The one rule
Never pay for a job. Not for a visa, medical, training, uniform, ticket or “refundable deposit”. In the UAE, the employer pays.

- Do I have to pay for a UAE work visa or medical?
- No. Under UAE labour law the employer pays for recruitment, the work permit, the visa and the medical test. Anyone asking you for a visa, processing or medical fee is breaking the law — or scamming you.
- How do fake Emirates, Etihad or Dubai Airports job offers work?
- Scammers copy the logo of a big employer, promise high salaries with no interview, and then ask for a fee. Big employers only recruit through their own careers websites and company email addresses — never Gmail, Yahoo or WhatsApp-only numbers.
- What is a task scam?
- You're offered money to like YouTube videos, rate hotels or review products. They pay small amounts at first, then ask you to “top up” or prepay tasks, and keep your money. Real part-time jobs never ask you to pay in.
- Is a “free visa” real?
- Selling employment visas is illegal. “Free visa” deals often mean no real employer, no salary protection and a risk of absconding cases. Only work on a visa issued by the company you actually work for.
- Where do I report a job scam in the UAE?
- Report online fraud to Dubai Police through ecrime.ae or the Dubai Police app, call Abu Dhabi Police's Aman service on 8002626, and report unlicensed recruiters to MOHRE on 600590000.
